Your Journey Through the Hebrides
The Hebridean Triangle holiday begins and ends on the Isle of Skye, easily accessible via the Kyle of Lochalsh Bridge. Spend your first day exploring Skye’s rugged beauty. In Harris, you’ll be treated to breathtaking mountain landscapes and coastal roads. Explore the town of Tarbert, known for its Harris Tweed, and visit the Harris Distillery for a taste of their award winning gin and whisky. Don’t miss the iconic beaches of Luskentyre, where golden sands meet turquoise waters. Spend a day or two on Lewis, home to the famous Callanish Standing Stones, believed to be older than Stonehenge, and explore the Blackhouse Village in Gearrannan, a traditional island settlement.
Next, cross the Sound of Harris to the Uists, where you’ll find peaceful shell sand beaches and nature reserves. South Uist and Eriskay offer ideal spots for wildlife watching, with opportunities to see red deer, otters, and seals. Take a stroll along Berneray Beach or explore the South Uist Nature Reserve, home to a variety of bird species.
Your journey ends with a return ferry from Lochmaddy in North Uist to Skye. Spend your last afternoon exploring Skye before heading south via the Skye Bridge.
