Located within the small township of Askernish in South Uist, Ard Buidhe is a modern detached cosy home. Situated only a stone’s throw from Askernish Golf Course, an ‘Old Tom Morris’ course, branded by some to be ‘the most natural golf course in the world.’ There are beautiful sandy beaches https://www.askernishgolfclub.com/nearby and an abundance of walks, in addition to being ideal for bird watching. For fishing enthusiast, the location has easy access to trout and salmon fishing, please note not all lochs require a permit, for those that do, a permit can be purchased separately. Lochboisdale Ferry terminal is only 4.5 miles and Benbecula Airport only 25 mins drive. The Calmac ferry from Eriskay to Barra is a short 20 minutes by car making it an ideal location for those wanting to take a day trip over to explore the beautiful Isles of Barra and Vatersay.
Ample parking is available at Ard Buidhe along with undercover storage facilities for bikes should that be required.

Food and Drink
A substantial self service continental breakfast is provided in the morning. For evening meals there is access to a microwave, allowing you to heat up pre-prepared meals or takeaways. As an alternative, the Borrodale Hotel is a short distance and provides a good selection of evening meal.
